Unlost (short Story, virtual reality and installation)
“Maybe I am Yours” a short story, virtual reality experience and installation part of "Unlost". The story is about the lost knowledge of the sacredness of the south Florida wetlands. “Is it possible that this water is sacred like the Ganges in India? Is the magic of this land lost or just forgotten?” The virtual reality aspect of the project is presented alongside the short story, and it functions as a possible answer to this question posed in the short story. Maybe I am yours have been activate as a sound performance called Lament for Water and also with a light art installation that simulates water.

Lament for the Water: a sound activation by Miguel Gonzalez and Gabriel Duque.
With synthesized dark melodies and the depth of bass tones, the artists will try to unearth the hidden tales and secrets that lie within the conceptual universe of “Maybe I am Yours” and its connection to water.

For this free improvisation activation part of the Solo Show "Unlost" by Miguel Gonzalez presented at the Miami Art Society. Miguel collaborated with three contemporary dancers Aeon De la Cruz, Ceilia Benitez and Melissa Nieto, and two musicians Johel Pereira and Luis Mendoza. It was a 4-hour durational journey that through a dynamic use of soundscapes, light installations, and embodied movement the artists created a space to reflect on the mystical and transformative qualities of our Miami Wetlands.
